The Wicker Pedestal. As with every Mainly Baskets Home wicker and rattan piece, our Pedestal was inspired by ancient times. The column pedestal was dreamt up by the ancient Greeks and later widely adopted by the Romans in 2 AD, and the urn shapes that we reference date back to as early as 7000 BC. We debuted our first wicker urn in the 1980s and have reissued it every few years as trends come back around.
